Review: Avengers Assemble #15AU

For patriotic reasons, this issue should win bonus points.

Avengers Assemble #15AUCover

The cover to this Age Of Ultron tie-in is quite nice and does depict a very cool action scene with Captains Marvel and Britain in a very cinematic way. I really like the way that we see the Union Jack in the background with a suffering Big Ben which really adds to the cinematic effect that this cover gives. However, the art style isn’t exactly my favourite (I prefer ‘clean’ artwork) but it still does look very nice indeed.

Score: 4/5

The story in this issue shows Captain Marvel and some of the British Marvel heroes suffering from Ultron’s wrath. The issue is quite emotional and features a cool ‘Doctor Who’ reference at the beginning. The story is best at its climax when the heroes are fighting Ultron face to face and has some really cool stuff with a (basically) new character called Computer Graham. However, I found the ending of the issue to be slightly unclear regarding whether certain characters had died or not.

Score: 4/5

I thought that the art in this issue was generally good, and I say generally for a reason. This is due to one particular panel which features a shot with lots of Ultron ‘drones’ marching through the streets. They look like completely gold versions of Batman. Not Ultron. But, other than this, the artwork was very nice.

Score: 4/5

I thought that this was a great issue that told a nice story that ties into Age Of Ultron but also featured some characters that we haven’t seen a lot of recently. I found it very interesting to see how Age Of Ultron was affecting a country other than America as well due to the fact that we have only really seen America and The Savage Land prominently featured in the main series.
